      I'm getting from the Aquarium screensaver:

      1280x1024x16 = 42.47fps
      1024x768x16 = 84.92fps
      800x600x16 = 84.93fps
      640x480x16 = 84.92fps

      (press "a" to get the info page)

      Strange????? It seems that changing resolutions don't increase the fps in my system?

        I don't suppose your monitor is running at 85Hz refresh? Sound's like v-sync to me.
        Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

          Your are right .....it's the v-sync (i'm using 85Hz refresh rate)
