    The only time I have noticed a slow upload (128K cap) is when doing a peer to peer transfer. But when uploading to ftp, etc. my uploads are consistently above 300Kb/s. My downloads are usually around 2 Mb/s.

      I suppose YOU broke the link with all the BBs because none of them would answer your ICQs and mails any more, or just plain put you in ignore mode (of course some people...like the ones who see things how they really are...might look at that like WE broke that link )
