They don't have a socket 8 to slot one adapter, but evergreen does have a P2 upgrade for the PPro, though I believe....or maybe it was actually Intel....yeah, it was intel.

I know they are kinda rare, but indeed they were made for a while. Buddy had a PPro 200 running in a Tyan 1846 slot-1 board a few years ago...until he finally sprung for a PII-500. Thought someone might know where to snag one. My buddy sold his in a computer swap meet a while back. I've latched onto a PII-Overdrive processor (333MHz, 512K full speed L2), and wanted to experiment with the processor in a BX environment.

Now, there were slot one to socket 8 adapters, and that's what you are talking about now. What I mean is you cannot put a slot one cpu on a socket 8 board, intel has made a socket370 cpu upgrade for the PPro boards at one time, but not slot one. Yes, there were some slotkets out for a while that would let you run PPro on a slot one.

Unfortunately, what I want to do is go the other way...I need to put a socket-8 processor in a slot-1 motherboard. These guys have socket-370 CPU's for the socket-8 motherboard. I want to trash my motherboard, not keep it. **sigh** Might be a losing battle...
