question about TNT2 Pros

hello, i'm looking into upgrading my system in a couple of weeks and i have some questions.

I'm just upgrading my system strictly on gaming purposes, mostly to do with increase fps.

I currently run a P2 366 Celeron with a Creative 32Meg TNT2 Pro, and I'll be buying a P2 or a P3 600. But my question is, does TNT2 Pros have drivers that utilizes P3 support? thanx.

The latest Detonator drivers should do it for you, but you'll probably find that most optimisations will be down to the actual games themseleves.

Why come here to ask a question about a TNT2 card?

More to the point, why take the time to register so that you could post the question about a TNT2 card?

Well, this is the general hardware forum, so it is the place to ask.

I would say you wont have any problems with the TNT2, its been around for a long time now, so I guess the drivers are as mature as they are going to get.

If you are looking for the best increase for the $ though, wouldnt a Geforce MX or something with your current CPU be best.

If you have PC66 RAM with your Celeron 366, then if you upgrade to anything else you will need new RAM too.

It might be cheaper, and faster to just do the video card, and maybe buy 128MB PC133 RAM, then look at upgrading later.

From memory, those 366s overclocked to 550Mhz quite well. You could give that a try too.
