Help on installing a peltier =)

Hello guys !

Im a new peltier user ..

I don´t have installed it yet but when i get it so then..

Humm..

I have a ice-71 pelt.
Asus CUSL2 main.
Alpha PEP66T cooler
silver compound

how is the best way to install this thing ?
and how about the condesation ?

Check all these sites for instuctions on insulating your motherboard and socket.

You will need:
1.) dielectric silicon grease for the pin holes in the processor socket.

2.) Electric grade silicon to coat circuits with and fill the inside of the mobo socket.

3.) High Temp RTV - non corrosive to seal the sides of the Peltier (pot the peltier) to protect it from condensation

4.) Closed Cell Foam to insulate the back of the motherboard, around the socket and to make gaskets to fit around the peltier and cold plate on the heatsink.
I you can not find closed cell foam get some cheap neopreme mouse pads. the cloth cover comes off easy if you pour a bit of acetone on them.

Check for the installation instructions for all the sites listed above.

Also I hope your power supply is at least 300W or higher.

You can also add a second power supply just for the Peltier and fan on the PEP66.

Hmm, I have burned pelt and CPU 8-)), but if you do not forget connect pelt to electricity, then you get good result.

Just a note here, when choosing dielectric silicone grease, make sure you choose some good thick stuff. The best I've found is the Ford Dielectric Silicon Compound. It can be found at any Ford parts dep't. Just ask for some Ford Dielectric Silicon Grease, or Ford Brake Grease, it will be in a red metal roll up tube.
