Missing Start menu left hand graphic???

I just upgraded to ME a couple of days ago. And now the vertical left hand graphic from the start menu that used to say "Microsoft Windows Millenium Edition" It is now just a long tall black rectangle. Wassup?

What happens is that that should read "Windows Me Millenium Edition". Pretty long, eh? So if you don't have enough stuff in your start menu, it can't render the bitmap correctly, and leaves it blank. So like most of us, you deleted a lot of the useless/redundant items there, and voila! No bitmap. Add a couple of short cuts to your Start menu, and it will come back.

I was laughing too hard when I figured this one out.
