  • ABIT BX 133 problem

    Hello!

    I have a BX133 board and a Celeron 2 @ 600Mhz and
when I overclock my Celeron2 @ 1000Mhz the temperature is
too high (according with the bios) and to be sure that
the temperature is that high(almost 70C),I power off
my computer and check quickly the temperature(less than 30sec.)
and it doesn't seems that the temperature is that high.
Lately,I'm very upset because my BX133 doesn't let
the computer to pass the bios because of that.I have a good
cooling made by me:a medium/large heatsink with 3 fans.
At the begining my CPU ran @1000Mhz stable(55C).

I would like to know if there are problems with the
ABIT BX133 and if you have an BX133 what's your max.
    voltages,what's your CPU temperature,etc.Should I change
my MB with a new one with the hope to be more lucky?

    Celeron2@600Mhz: 600/128/66/1,7v Malay
    L043A006-0796 SL4PB

    System specs(you'll probably laugh):
    Celeron2-600@950Mhz MAX VOLTAGE->1.95v
    ABIT BX133
    64 MB PC100(125@CAS3)
    10,2WD ATA66
    MATROX G400 /32MB/SH @160/208
    Windoze 98
and other thinghs that doesn't matter.

P.S.:SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH !!!

In 30 seconds your CPU temp will fall by ~20 degrees!

Never tried more than 1.85V! Neither should you unless you are using a peltier / watercooling system! Anyways you can adjust the CPU varning shutdown temperature in the BIOS(or turn them off)!
Don't blame the mobo in fact you should consider yourself lucky if you get that CPU to boot in to windows @950MHz+ !!!

      Thanks!!!
But I don't think that I need some "real cooling" because my fans are doing great.
