Periodic Mouse/Keyboard Slowdown...

I won't be back sunday evening (I'm not actually here now ) cos I did a defrag overnight in win2k (the first one I've ever done) and windows 2000 no longer boots - I get inaccessible boot device Blue Screen on bootup! WinMe still works...

if you re-boot, does it work normal again (even for a while?)
From time to time, I can be scrolling with the mouse (wired) and it'll freeze for a second and then pick up where it should be.

Rebooting clears this up for me (win98se)
