  • Excel gurus in here!

I am trying to create several graphs to go on the web and keep them uniform in size.

Like the performance graph on my Seti site, but with several graphs for each category of CPU.

    Thanks,

    Paul.

Yes, I thought I wasn't to clear! Here's an attempt to clarify

I want to create several graphs, one for the K6 series, one for the Athlon, one for the T-Bird, one for the PPro etc etc

However, Excel creates them too large for a webpage, and I want to size them down. However, doing this manually gives all sorts of different sizes for the graphs.

Any way to specify the size of a chart and save it as a Gif. The web output almost does it to my liking but not quite.

I'm guessing you are using version 2000 because I've noticed a similar problem. On earlier versions I used to be able to make one graph as a template. Then simply copy and paste. The pasted copy would be the exact size and format. All you would have to do then would be to change the data series and Title.

Unfortunately, with the Office 2000 version, the pasted copy does not retain the same sizing. Of course it's usually not too big of a deal to drag the edges to match the size you need.

I'm sure there's an option somewhere that I've overlooked....I'll let you know when I find it.

I just experiemented a bit and figured out why copying changes the size of the chart. Make sure you are in 100% Zoom when you copy and paste. Then everything pastes with same format and size. If you are in a different zoom, Excel will scale the pasted chart to that size.
As far a saving the chart as a .gif I'm not sure, but there is an option to save as a web page (.htm) or I believe you can paste into MS Word as a .bmp.
