  • How can I....

Save an embedded sound file in a Word document as a file on it's own?

I've dug through the background code, couldn't find the file there.

I've tried copying and pasting it in a new document (even as html file), no go.

I've tried deleting it, maybe it would end up in the recycle bin ...

I've tried editing the soundfile and saving it afterwards... no save option

So, how do I save an embedded sound file from a document on it's own?

    I'm using Office 2000.

    Jord.

    Right, I just did it:

Open up your word document, right click on the speaker icon for the wave sound (A assume it's a wave file?) and click 'Open' or 'Edit' (So that it opens in Sound Recorder). Then do edit -> Copy in Sound recorder. Open up a new Sound Recorder, and then do edit -> paste, then file -> save.
