  • Abit KT7 PCI Slot IRQ Sharing

The PCI slot table on page 3-43 in the manual confuses me. On the first line, it looks like PCI slot 2 shares with slot 3, and slot 4 shares with 6. The subsequent lines change the arrangement. PIRQ Signals 0-3 changes the INT A-D on each line which makes it appear slot sharing changes.

I know AGP shares with PCI slot 1, so what is the correct sharing order including USB? No RAID on my MB.

My old P3B-F had AGP & PCI 1 shared, slot 3 & 6 shared, slot 4 & 5 shared (and carried the USB) while slot 2 was seperate.

    SCompRacer,

So far I've seen that as you stated AGP + PCI 1, PCI 2 + PCI 3 share, PCI 4 + PCI 6 share, but I'm not sure about the usb (don't have it turned on). PCI 5 for RAID shares with the Highpoint controller. Thats all I know.

Thanks you dsp. Can proceed confidently with a plan now, though failure sure adds to knowledge!

Confusion arose when I read the table. I fail to comprehend what they are trying to get across. It says USB uses INT D, but that could mean PCI 1, 2, 3 etc. according to that chart based on PIRQ signals.

This is my first board that wasn't made by ASUS and there have been quite a few.
