Hi guys!
Just switched CPU to a Classic A800mhz one, and successfully ran it up to 1ghz. The cpu doesn't "feel" hot at all (i've got no sensors on my mobo), compared to what it did when i ran my 500mhz (500 core) at 650mhz.
I do however have one small concern. I can play q3, UT, or anything else at full speed for hours. Without a glitch.
BUT, when i tried 3dmark2k, it just suddenly rebooted. I tried again, the same thing. Hmm, so I tried an old TBL demo (stash), and the same thing happened (once). This is the only times it has happened, but still little to often for me. What's wrong?
The CPU now runs at 1.9V, it did just as good on 1.85, but at 1.8 as is the standard for 1ghz's (i think) it didn't work very good at all.
I've also tried several cpu benchmark programs etc. and they all work great(and they should load the cpu 100%, right?).
Normally i would just discard it as a heat/core problem, but compared to what i've learned from my old 500 CPU this isn't at all the same. My old system would simply HANG when it got clocked to high, not reboot.
Suggestions?
