Hi guys
I am unable to get my hard-drives to stop spinning when using power-saving settings .
I am running W2K Prof+SP1 (ACPI default) on an Intel 815mobo,IBM GXP 30G for programs on NTFS, Raid 0 on an Iwill Sideraid 100 with 2 identical WD200BB disks on FAT32 for video work.
While it is no trainsmash, it seems a waste to keep these babies running full tilt (7200rpm) all day long while there is no need to – my machines run 24/7.
I have tried halting all tasks that may cause disk activity, but - no joy.
Can one of you guys maybe suggest a solution? – is this in fact possible on W2K?
Any help/suggestions much appreciated
