For the Duron, the Alpha PAL 6035 would be a good choice. The pads in the corners just help to keep the heat sink flat(aligned) on the processor.

Thanks, and come to think of if, most of the heat is generated in the cnter of the chip anyway, since the outer section is there just to accomodate the pins. (of course, that probably aids the heat dissapation)
