Plextor to stop making SCSI cd/cdrw drives?

Bummer! I was planning on picking up the PX-W1210TS/SW. I wonder if this will start to drive up the price?

Would be a very bad move on their part if they do.
BURNProof or not, nothing beats going from a SCSI Reader to a SCSI Writer, it just never fails.
Mirai & Yamaha will however continue to feed the needs of us SCSI owners.

Plextor remains as committed to its SCSI product offerings as much as it is to E-IDE (ATAPI). Even though the market potential for SCSI devices is less than ten (10%) percent of the overall market, it still is a niche that Plextor can support quite comfortably. Like yourself, there are hundreds of thousands of other Plextor customers that share your viewpoint and we are very sensitive to meeting the future needs of this large installed base.
