  • NV20 to have better RAMDAC

    http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardwar...ws/ask_nvidia/

Humus asks: Nvidia cards have sadly enough often been equipped with low quality RAMDAC filters, which has cause the image to get blurrier in higher resolution. Even though vendors are free to choose whatever filter they like, are you in any way going to push for higher quality filters in future products, perhaps promoting that in the reference design?

NVIDIA: Yes, we always try to encourage our partners to use the highest quality components. NVIDIA has a new filter design circuit methodology that we implement on all new reference designs along with guidelines for board manufacturers to follow.

    Fear the NV20 Matrox obsessed!

    There's nothing to fear.

    Speaking of nVidia's guidelines:

nVidia is also in this lawsuit, possibly for indirect infringement.

Guidelines are just that. They carry no mandatory compliance with them. The board manufacturers are free to do what they want. Nothing has changed.

With NV20 there comes an optional (+$100)
NFDC-TURBO GOLDEN PLUS kit (new filter design circuit) that you can easily solder in your new $600 video card .

I stll would be happy with G450 with
          128bit DDR with enough MHz:s.

            Hey DosFreak,

Apparently you can't read too well. His answer implies that they have implemented this for on all their new cards. That means the Ultra, GeSpot2, et al. It's too bad that even a quality mfr, like Asus, can't get it right, eh? My Asus GeSpot2 has horrible visual quality compared to even my G200.

What makes you think that things will change the next round of turds that nVidia puts out? Every one of their taiwanese el cheapo sweat shop outfits will be rushing to get the first ones out the door at all costs, and we will see what kind of quality turds that are put out

The crapper?! What's wrong with you folks? I found this article interesting in both discussing 3D acceleration technology and in what NVIDIA is doing in this market. I imagine some Matrox folks found the discussion interesting as well. How about a little tolerance and open up your mind?

Sure no problem... when they publically admit to theiving the technology they stole from 3dfx and Matrox.

                          LOL like that'll ever happen!

... What's that got to do with the legitimacy of posting and replying to this thread in the GHW/SW forum?
