*T-Bird 1.2GHZ
*Asus A7v MOBO
*1G RAM PC133 [i am assuming it is the same ram as on an intel system - right?]
*Marvel G400
*2X 60GB Maxtor DiamondMAX [video] + 30GB sys disk
RAM is the same, unless you are comparing to a Pentium 4. I'd also like to confirm that you will choose a pair of IBMs

Edit: I tried to 'quute' him

I would take Doc's advise on this 100%.

Well I've had the pleasure of 1.5g P4 on my desk the other week. 1 gig of memory two scsi disks cd writer and Dvd drive. G400 soundcard Modem. Was I impressed No.
The computer was slower than my PIII 800@1Ghz based on an Ide system.
I would say go for an Athlon.
