Anyone had luck with KT133 boards and 512MB Dimms

Going to be building a Video editing Rig for a friend of mine and he would like to have a Gig of Ram. Problem with this is none of the quality Ram guys I normally buy from (Crucial, Mushkin) seemed to have 512MB sticks for the boards, even though the KT133/Kt133a chipsets say they can have up to 1.5GB's of Ram. Has anyone had any luck using Registered/ECC sticks in these boards or a brand of Ram in a 512 flavor that would work well (ie. stable)?
