How do I get Win9x to shut down a DOS window automatically
I hate having to quit commandline programs manually.

Go to the Properties, select the "Program" tab, check the only checkbox there is... it should say "close when program quits" or something to that effect (I have the german version, so I don't know what it actually says in the english one and I can't think of something better at the moment..
)

RMB the file in Explorer and look at the Program tab under Properties. Check the "Close on exit checkbox and a .PIF file will be created for you with those settings.
