    Version 2001.3.7.52 pro

The "millenium" version doesen't do this.

The most iritating is that it doesent happen on the "OLD" w2k install!

The only reason i still pursue this is because:

If I ever realy hawe to reinstall, then I am afraid that it would happen even if i dident install on the raid.

My W2k install on the non raided HDD got a realy Turbo boost when i moved the swapfile and the temp direktory to the raid.

As it is now i don't realy have to have the instalation on the raid as the curent im using (aka the "OLD") is lightning fast and stable as he**.

But I have to know why the crash ocurs so I wont find myself in Deep sh** later on.

Which FastTrack drivers are you using? I had no end of evian.sys problems, especially in Windows XP, with the "most recent" ones from Promise' site.

Use the 1.30b33's and you should be all set...

Also there are older ones (1.30b25) without evian.sys at all (nobody seems to know what that file does, but I think it improves performance under VIA based systems).

And lastly, just a day or two ago there were v2.0b6 drivers posted (they're in the FastTrack100tx2 directory, but work for FT66 and FT100's).

        Thanks Gurm!

I cant test this directly because I'm at work now but i will check later.

        Im using 1.30b66...

The controller is a bastard "lite" and is integrated on Mainboard.

so i cant use the drivers from promise.

Can I "hack" the Inf files?

Is there a big speed loss when going back in drivers?
