Damn man, forgot about 1 client up north still running their 386/20 with 4MB RAM (extended), 180MB hard drive and SCO Xenix 2.3.2GT (I can't even remember if we placed any Y2k patches on that bugger since the RDBMS used a century work-around), since around 1988/89. About 12-13 years....

Nome Alaska, where it's so cold, even a 386 runs well... Although, it's not as cold as Kotzebue...

        Is that a record yet?

It has had components replaced - went from the old Adaptec AHA-1542 (not A, not B, not C - but original) to I think the last was a CF (with floppy controller - none on motherboard). And I think the last HD upgrade was to a refurbished 500MB unit...

I have NEVER had an OS on my computer for more than 6 months. Even if it's running stable I still re-install the OS on occasion. Sometimes out of boredom, sometimes because I want to see if I can squeeze out some extra performance. Often times it's because of new hardware, but I'm nuts like that.

Hope Matrox releases the G800 before rebuild time, becuase the end is near!

You just know you re-install windows too often when you can remember the win98se product key (as well as NT and win95's). Sad I know I haven't remembered winme's yet though...

Alright - cbman, I'm hijacking this thread -

How long is the longest you've run a PC without rebooting it?

            ------------------

I used to be able to run NetWare for years without rebooting, but now they shut off the power on us every other day (living in California).

At work we have a computer thats running a 3dmark2000 demo...

To make it run continuesly without anyone tuching it, I have set it to reboot every hour!

I hated that computers guts untill i tracked it's problems down to 3dmark itself

It will run 24 hours a run with other demos but they doesnet look as good as 3dmark 2000!

That winMe I had goin for the 5 months went two of those without a reboot (I was working lots and Nikki didn't use it hardly) so it was sleeping for most of it)

I should have called it sleeping ugly instead of beast

Edit: I put in the wrong numbers... Duh
