best tv tuner?

I'm upgrading my Matrox MarvelG200 to a Geforce3. However,I'll have to get a tv tuner.I've tried the ATI USB tv tuner and the quality was terrible. I'd like something comparable in quality to the Matrox tuner.Anyone have experience with a good tv product? Thanks

I have both a Hauppauge WinTV and a 3dfx voodoo TVFM. In comparison, the 3dfx card which i bought yesterday for my girlfriends PC is a piece of sh*t (at least until i am able to get it to display a decent picture). The Hauppauge on the other hand works like a dream.

Thanks for the information. When you view the Wintv in fullscreen,is there any visible pixelation or stuttering? I think I'm going to order the Wintv pvc card. Looks pretty good. I just want to make sure this time.I had to pay a damn 25% restocking fee to get rid of the ATI.;-(

on the occasions that I get good reception the picture quality is fine. No stuttering or pixellation.

I use 3rd party software for watching TV, since those use the right overlay mode to trigger DVD Max mode ...

That mode is just awesome and not comparable to WinTV in fullscreen.

dTV is a very nice replacement for Hauppauge's software. It does deinterlacing and noise filtering, and has many useful options.
You can get it from http://deinterlace.sourceforge.net/

Don't know about the overlay modes, though..
