Don't worry about the boards price. Just insert two Durons and you'll save that $500...

Well, I just hope it's possible to use dual Duron systems on these boards as well - would be the real killer on a price/performance basis.
But we named the *dog* Indiana...

If the thunderbird works the duron should work to.

It´s exactly the same cpu, one of them got 256kb L2 cache while the other one has 64.

Before you all run out and get these, you might want to read this:

Is "Tualatin" a word in a language anyone here knows, btw?

Sorry, the Too Late In (just had to get that in )is still just a PIII. It is on a 130nm process, so it will scale to about 1.2GHz, but by that time, the Palomino should be outpacing it.

ALL YOUR CHIPS ARE BELONG TO US!!!1

                        Growing right????

Intel is building FABS and Hiring through the down turn.... What's AMD doing????

We have FAB 7, FAB 9, FAB 11 and FAB 11X being built as we speak. It's almost 2 miles of ground to cover to get from FAB 7 to FAB 11X. Got to take a shuttle from one end to the other

And that is just our site here.

                        Paul

The Duron is outpacing it at same freq, and with the need for a new mobo, it's a dud.

Intel was once a mighty company with a good cpu but now let's face it, Athlon runs faster and is way less expensive!

Intel screwed up too many times and AMD took advantage of that situation, plus they have a kick ass product!
