  • Windows ME shutdown problem

This is strange, recently windows crashed (surprise surprise, he he) and now the computer won't turn off the the power anymore. This is strange since it have worked before...
I've tried to restore the registry but it didn't help. Anybody know where the problem lies? Or is just time to make the yearly format c: - reinstall windows - work another half a year-procedure?

Do a search in GHWSW for my posts: I talked somewhere about disabling fast shutdown, start-up apps, etc.

Yupp! I think it's my DSL-card that causes this, when I think at it the shutdown problem has only occured since I installed the DSL. But the computer crashed a few times in that time so I thought that was the prob. Thanx for posting the helpful links!
