  • Anyone got bumpy Expendable working with other EMBM cards?

I´ve got the opportunity to buy Expendable retail on a budget. It obviously doesn´t support EMBM out of the box, but matrox has a patch to add it. My question is if this patch is G400 specific (i.e. it´ll not work on other cards, as the G400 tech demo) or if it only adds EMBM support?

According to the patch description, i'd say that it enable it for all cards since they don't specify that it only works with G4x0 cards.

Ok, i've just downloaded the patch and checked in the readme.txt. It's written this

    -----

    Requirements
    ------------

    - A Matrox G400 based graphics card.
    - Full retail version of Expendable.

    -----

Sorry, seems you wont be able to patch it for any other cards.

You might be able to patch it, but the embm won't work with a non-matrox card, because it does make a check whether there is something made by matrox plugged in or not.
Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Or do a search on the net. Maybe there's a hack out there that removes this silly hardware check...
