Indiana - This would not be a problem for me as I do not speculate on Win2000. Furthermore I do not need that much 3D power, that the difference between the KyroII and the Radeon is an argument.

What would be an argument is definately the price of the Radeons. They are still damn expensive here ...

Where are you looking for the Radeon? Where for the Kyro?
I got my RadeonDDR64MB with VIVO for 469,- DM, this nearly half a year ago.
The Hercules KyroII costs 399,- at MediaMarkt and this without VideoIn, AFAIK it doesn't even have a TVOut (which is a must-have on my gfx-card checklist, btw).
So you could hardly say that the Radeon is more expensive than the KyroII (TV-out alone usually costs those 69 DM and you'll get an additional quite nice VideoIn).
This disappointed me the most of the KyroII: hearing how cheap it would be and then seeing that it's about the same price than my RadeonVIVO was half a year ago....

EDIT: Additional note: the Matrox G450/32MB costs 399,- DM as well at MediaMarkt.....

At www.csv.de the Kyro II-based Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 costs 319,- DM for the 64 MB retail version WITH TV out

They also had 256 MB PC133 CL2 Optosys RAM for just 119,- DM yesterday, I wanted to buy some, but today they are sold out

            Well, there's still infineon PC133 CL2 for 130,- DM / 256 MB

(And I was wrong about the Kyro II prices.. it's 319,- for the retail 64 MB w/o TV out (they label it as "very overclocking friendly, which I don't believe ), and 312,- for the bulk w/ TV out... unfortunately there's no retail TV out card from them... what's the difference between retail and bulk with the 4500 anyway?)

AZ - The difference between the bulk and the rezail version is just the carton.

Indiana - I find DM400+ pretty expensive for a Radeon graphics card.

There quite definitely IS a retail with TV out. At least from Hercules.

It's called the "Prophet 4500 w/TV Out". Check their web site.

No, not for a 64MB version with Video-out AND Video-in half a year ago.

The Asus Gefrog2 Deluxe card (that's very similar performing, just with crappy 2D and BAAAAD capture-drivers, no Overscan on the TV-Out,...) at that time cost >550DM.

Gurm: I meant CSV doesn't sell it - sorry if that wasn't clear

(I specifically mention CSV because I found them to be A LOT cheaper than other shops - and no, I don't work for them )
