Great, now I can't play some DVD from media player... It gives an error concerning some digital copyprotection.

as I said (and others), DScaler doesn't support DeCSS algorythms, because royalities need to be paid to do that.

You can either use AnyDVD or DVDIdle to strip DeCSS protection in realtime, or use a different MPEG2 decoder which does decrypt CSS (like commercial DVD players).

VJ, have you tried MediaPlayer Classic as JAmmrock advised ?

It is free to use and very efficient.

          I'll give it a go...
Currently, I can play DVDs in stereo through PowerDVD and Ravisent. I could play DVDs with multichannel output with mediaplayer, but now it doesn't play at all.

I'll also try the Zoom player, it looks nice too...

Very weird... The copy problem only seems to be present with one DVD; it doesn't even play back in zoom player

Other than that: zoomplayer does allow me to select the audiodecoder I'd like to use (AC3Filter), thus it works perfectly: finally multichannel analog output, with something other than mediaplayer!
