TV question

My parents are considering this TV:

The resolution is advertised as 1920x1080p, but in the resolutions list, the highest one is 1920x1080i. Has sales missed something here?
Also, any thoughts why the maximum PC resolution is 1024x768?

The bigger model also has network (to stream audio/video/photos from a PC, some sources on Philips seems to say that this TV has it also, so that would be nice). It is also shown on the connections image: http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/3/3...30_10_cow_.jpg

Any other comments?

We've seen the TV play in a store, and it looked so much better than all the others (even though they were all playing the same source), both in colours and in sharpness.

Well, if anyone is interested...

A 1080i input is deinterlaced, to be displayed on the 1920x1080p panel. The TV cannot deal 1080p inputs.
As for the PC resolution, a friend of mine at Philips is asking the technical guys about it.

Several LCDs list the PC resolution at a max of 1024x768 or 1280x1024 - I've just bought a 32" LG which offers the native 1366x768 in PC "mode". Philips and Sharp both appeared to limit the resolutions. The 1080p panel with 1920x1080 in PC mode is some time away I guess, at least under £2,000.
