50 W for a near-field!
Have you heard them, Fluff?
The Behringer Truth 2031A are said to be very good for the money...

I have their Audience 52 speakers which are £550 (got them second hand though). I like their sound, and the same goes for the Dynaudio Acoustics ones BM5A which were pretty good when I heard them in a shop.
Is 50W not enough for a nearfield? (50 for tweeter 50 for bass).______________________________
Nothing is impossible, some things are just unlikely.

50 is enough for them to blow your brains out. I originally posted this image:

I'm wary of behringer stuff, mostly because of how cheap they - not sure about the quality...Q9450 + TRUE, G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2, GTX 560, ASUS X48, 1TB WD Black, Windows 7 64-bit, LG M2762D-PM 27" + 17" LG 1752TX, Corsair HX620, Antec P182, Logitech G5 (Blue)

From what I've heard, Behringer stuff is cheap, but good (althoughthe electronics are not very solidly built). I've never heard one complaint about the 2031A, and people say they go LOUD. I think they're ugly

Most of what I have heard has been in regards to their guitar amps/musical stuff.
I looked up those 2031A - I knew had I had seen them somewhere! My local hifi place actually carries them and I remember him raving about themQ9450 + TRUE, G.Skill 2x2GB DDR2, GTX 560, ASUS X48, 1TB WD Black, Windows 7 64-bit, LG M2762D-PM 27" + 17" LG 1752TX, Corsair HX620, Antec P182, Logitech G5 (Blue)
