  • Cost of Fan to OC G400?

Well...now that some of you are finding out that the G400 can be OC'd to Max speeds, any idea on what the cost of the Max's AAVID fan is? Of course, this assumes the problem is the G400 chip instead of the 6ns memory.

For those that have gotten their G400's already, please start another thread stating how fast you can OC using PowerStrip.

There's no need to go for an AAVID fan - just buy a PII cooler, and take the fan off the heatsink and fit that fan to it. It'll work a treat.

I have ordered a G400 dual head 32mb Bulk. I plan on attaching a 6400rpm globalwin fan to the heatsink. If the holes on both side of the g400 chip are present like they are on the g400max I plan on adding some better cooling with thermal compound if the default sink dont do good.

With 6ns memory there should be some leeway in overclocking. Maybe 170-183mhz

I currenty have a tnt2 with 6ns SDRAM and it can clock to 200mhz.

BTW, do the dualhead bulk G400's come with the cable? I ordered mine from allstarshop and they dont mention the cable.
