    Hey guys,

I found a bug in Win2000 beta#? within minutes of first using it.

I dragged the task bar around the screen and then let go at the bottom. This gave me not only the task bar at the bottom, but a new one at the top which also worked!

However, using the task bar at the bottom caused the one at the top to disappear.

Anyone confirm which beta does that?

I figured I'd throw in my experiences with Win2K Beta 3, since they seem to be so much different than everybody elses.

I'm using the Beta with a G200, PCI. While I'll admit that the video driver performance is far from perfect, I've not found it to be nearly as bad as other posts here would indicate.

At least DirectX is working. I was able to run SimCity3000, which I couldn't under NT. A few other apps that only work under 95/98 have worked OK too.

Starcraft still rund fine, a few glitches here and there. Animation Master (which uses Direct3D for the real time renderings) seems much faster than under NT4.

I won't comment much on the Beta itself, as this is not the place. I have managed to crash the desktop a few times, but other than that, it has been very stable. *shrug* Maybe I am just lucky.

FYI, RC1 is available to beta testers Monday July 12th. Maybe the drivers there will be better...but they are certainly usable now.

RC1 has been available to the official testers (not the CPP testers) from the ftp site since the 2nd. I downloaded and performed a clean install of it. The driver situation is pretty much the same and is what I'm basing my posts off.

Well, as a w2k beta tester, I can tell you that g400 support is not in rc1, build 2072. Maybe in rc2, cross your fingers.
