SteveC just in case you missed the reply in overclocking p2 350 heres some in fo for you.

im 99% sure that all the p2 350's in the compaq desk pros are the older one's (ah thats where i got mine from) just swap it out if you have a p2 350 at home that woun't oc. or try looking at the numbers on the top of the cartrage in you work machine. you shopuld be able to tell if it is one of the older ones buy date and week comparisons found on the cpu database at overclockers.com then go buy a new one to swap out. the one i got was a malay and it was unlockable. wowo 464 at 2.2 volts in a bh6 mobo.

good luck. oh the heat sink comes right off with a screw driver and don't for get to close your office door

Thanks, but I have a PII-333 which runs rine at 515 at home, I was just wondering if I could OC my compaq here at work. Anyone know what clock oscillator thing is in the deskpro's ?

    Cheers,

    Steve

In response to the other thread - the CPU doesn't sit under the drives. Well it don't on my on here. You're right in that it has no fan - just a aluminium sculpture, but there's a fan in the PS right next to it which blows on the CPU.

I have a Deskpro EP 6350/10 UK here. It's the one where the case can be either a desktop or a midi tower.

      Cheers,

      Steve

your lucky then cuase the case for the one i got is so small i couldn't even intall a full size pci video card in it (lot of laptop tech in this thing.) memory and cpu even sit under the 3.5 floppy on leftside of case front and hard drive and thin laptop cd rom drive sit on right side. no fan any where in system at least not one that you would notice.

Sure you're talking about the Deskpro there? Sounds more like something like the Presario or whatever the home PCs are called.
          These Deskpros are huge beasts.
