  • Got my MAX

Just got it today. Will install in a while. I have no benchmarking programs though. Any recommendations of free benchmarks?

And try overclocking it to see how far you can go :-)

I'm surprised neither Ant nor the Firing Squad guys have reported overclocking results w/ the Max yet. The other reviewers seemed to enjoy overclocking the Herc TNT2 Ultra.

Hmm mem clock is 200mhz...I was reading the TNT2 review at Anand Tech yesterday and that indcates that the MAX is using 5ns memory chips...maybe this is the reason why its taking so long for the MAX to get out the door? Most of the TNT2 use 5.5ns stuff.

I thought the clock was supposed to be 166mhz??

                166mhz was always speculation.

Yes! I thought that the core clock speed is 166Mhz and not 150Mhz.

                  Are there 2 versions?
Anyway, JamesA, you are lucky you got your G400 Max. Enjoy!!

                      Hey Guys,
I would not put too much faith in this current version of Powerstrip as far as the G400 goes. It's been doing some screwy things as far as showing any consistancy with the G400s and I quit using it for now.

Hey, what is your order number? Just wanted to know so I can anticipate when mine will be here. My order number is in the mid-high 12000s. Anybody cancelled their order? If so, maybe I can be pushed up a notch or too
