G400 and geometric engine ?

Lately there is many talking about geometric engine co-processors in new (upcoming) 3DFX "Napalm" and Ndiva NV10 chipsets that will allow not only significuly increase the speed of cards but make a use of new DirectX 7.0 "Photo Realistic lightning" i think it will be good idea for Matrox that allways was Imige quality leader to make Add-on card for G400/G400Max with such co-processor.

I wonder if Matrox thought ahead, and decided to make the G400 compatible with a future geometric engine. If they did, I think the new cards such as Napalm and NV10 would still whoop the G400/geo-engine because of such things like 4+ multi-texture units. But, ah well. I like Yogi bear.
