  • how does the g400 like sharing Irqs?

    my udma 66 channels share irq 11 with the g400 Is that so wrong ?d3d seems fine but ogl and dvd are broken.

    You don't want your video card sharing an IRQ with anything. (except PCI steering)

      My G400 is sharing IRQ 11 with my NIC and PCI steering, never caused any problems.

        my stuff all jumps up right along with the g400 the only place I can get it alone is irq 3.Soooo Is that so wrong??it should get more attention Hmmmmm ??

          You want an irq higher than 8 for it to work better. What kind of board do you have, and what cards PCI/ISA do you have installed and in which slots? There is a way to get it right.

            Lucky me, its an abit be6 so I can controll the agp slot .I think maby Ill put all my drives on udma 66 so I can steal irq 14.But the other stuff seems to follow the g400 around ..Its madening..but p3 450s run nice at 124 -1/4 mmmmmm..

              Try keeping the pci slot next to the agp slot open.

                OOPS I have agp g4oo , pci 1 empty"fan", pci 2 adaptec scsi, pci 3 cheepo nic, pci 4 empty ,pci 5 "shared" monster sound 300,isa extra io card for lpt2 "irq 5"
