Insight were supposed to getting some g400 32mb today but either there web page hasn't been updated or they haven't arrived yet.
One thing about insight there within banging on the desk distance if anything goes wrong.
Since I did surgical work on my motherboard to get the G200 to work properly I may have a few problems getting another card to work.
And no I can't undo it.

Removing a couple of caps. Unfortunatley one of them didn't want to be put in a nice little safe place and ran off under the agp slot.
GGGGGGGRRRRRRRrrrrr!!!!!!!!!
I don't feel like taking the AGP slot off to get it back because that definatley be a new motherboard.

I'm getting a little weary of hearing all these rumours. If the G400 "isn't available," how is it that a moderately sized distributor in the UK has them?
Yes they may have but there tech support is shit (Total contrast to there sales who are polite and very helpful).
After having to post the court papers for money owed (they paid up the same day I posted but I let them sweat since they ignored all faxes and emails and wriiten letters telling them that I'd sue) I wouldn't shop there again.
A company definatley to avoid I'm afraid.

I got my oem G400 32mb dualhead on 15/7/99 from Insight in the UK. They had 14 in stock when I checked on 13/7/99 so I ordered one. Next day when I checked back they were all sold.
One thing to consider, I didn't get the dvd player with mine, just the drivers and tech demo.
I am very impressed with it. I was going to put it in a machine i'm going to build for a friend next month and then get a max but I don't know if i'll bother now.
I'm not a great game player, I wanted it for photoshop mainly. I can now have the image on one screen and the toolbars on another. The dualhead works great. I can now work on an image without having to move the toolbars around or I can work on an image at normal magnification on the first screen and have a zoomed in view on the other.
Like I said i'm not a game player but I have had Star Wars Episode 1 Pod Racer running at 1280 x 1024 x 32bit and it ran very smoothly. I haven't tried overclocking it yet!
I was a bit p***ed that the dvd player wasn't included. I checked on the forums before ordering an oem version and from what people were saying the dvd player was included on the drivers disc. I'm wondering if it is only included with oem cards in the States. I've emailed Matrox in the UK but haven't heard anything back yet. If there's anybody else out there who didn't get the dvd player maybe they could let us know.
Dan,
I am a bit of a games player (TFC in particular) but I also do video and graphics work, and I've been looking forward to using Photoshop and the like on two monitors.
Glad your impressed
Chris
