Hi All,
I'm kinda new to this forum (but happy to have found it and this probably has been beaten to death before but I missed it ...
When I start up this system (Ax59Pro, K6-2/350, OEM G200 8MB, 64MB PC100), after the POST finishes & the screen redraws, the background is full of ASCII garbage. When the screen mode changes (i.e. when the GUI inits), all is fine... unless I switch back to a DOS screen (color modes included). Sometimes even the CMOS Setup screen is corrupted this way, but not always. I also tried a G100... same results. Now for the weird part: if I set the CPU speed back to 300 or less, it doesn't happen, even if I choose settings that overclock the AGP & FSB, as long as I don't exceed the 300Mhz CPU speed. It behaves fine with other AGP cards. Too bad, I wanted to use this card for its display quality & 2D speed... maybe I'll use a different MoBo.
Any ideas?
TIA
Regards,
Ken
