The good news:
- With TV-out, Clone, Zoom, DvdMax almost seem to work ok. Microsoft Media player gives full screen video Dualhead TV-out while minimized on the desktop
The bad news:
- Matrox DVD player behaves weird with DVDMax-TV out. Instead of full screen, the TV shows 6 small video frames, horizontally centered, vertically aligned (tested with VideoCD, stil working on DVD).
- Using DualHead-VGA, Clone and DVDMax no longer work (???). This means VGA input of 16:9 TV's like Sony, Grundig, Philips, etc are (currently?) of no use with G400's Clone and DVDMax features.
- DualHead Zoom can only be enabled via hotkey. Each time resolution is changed Zoom get disabled. Apps that block the hot-keys (like Matrox TechDemo) can not be displayed on DualHead-VGA.
- Apps that show video using overlays (MS MediaPlayer, Matrox DVD player) are useless with DualHead-Zoom. Only black or purple rectangle is shown instead of video. Normally DVDMax would show the video full screen but this doesn't work with VGA
Please Matrox, get DualHead-VGA working before you start optimizing the OpenGL ICD. I really want to start using the VGA inout of my TV. (ok, ok, I know most of you want OpenGL ICD first but I tought I give it a try )
