  • SS7 + G200 +OpenGL +Quake I + II

    Hello,

I'm using a DFI P5BV3+ mobo with an AMD
350@400 with a G200 and when I run the OpenGL version of Quake I or II then my system freezes within a short period (30 sec..)

Does anybody have the same problems and
    if so are they fixable??

    Thanx,

    PAIT

Look in your motherboard's CMOS settings and see if you have the following two parameters or something simular:

    Cache RD+CPU Wt Pipeline
    Read Around Write

If you do try disabling them.

Do you have the same problem in any D3D games, or is it only OpenGL?
I used to get lockups in all 3D apps after a few minutes, but they were fixed after obtaining all latest drivers (I think the VIA motherboard drivers were most significant) and doing a fresh install as per the procedure on Joel's web page.

      Good Luck.
