I think if you're getting a Matrox beer mug, you should at least be putting Canadian beer in it.

Sleeman's Rules!! (I know, Guinness is better, but it should only go in authentic pint glasses )

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox

Tony, if you've been to LA, you probably know that LA, or Los Angeles is a city in the state of California.

New York City (NYC) is a city in the state of New York (NY). That's why the song (surely you've heard one of the two songs with this lyric) is "New York, New York".

Just trying to remember that everyone isn't an American, or familiar with American cities (even New York City)

Of course, looking at it again, I realized that I forgot that people might not even know what NYC stood for in the first place ...well, just bear with me, people, I'm trying at least...

ok peoples, sounds like the imagination is there (talent too?:-) so how do we make it happen? Someone offer to help design the stuff (like a quick turbocharger for my G200) 8-) Then "M" would need it added to the store pages for all to see(sigh) sound good peoples? Oh let me put in for my signed bible (by the BETA boyz) ok?

Actually. "The Matrox Bible", or maybe "the Little Book of Matrox" isn't such a bad idea...

Tom of Tom's Hardware collected all his wisdom into a book...

Maybe we should think about this...might even make a couple of bucks towards supporting the forums...

                  Holly,

I think it must be my English mentality, i find it difficult to see NYC in NY. Now there is New York state which i know of, is Manhattan part of this too???. For me its just like saying London city in London, anyway i shall have to visit NYC someday.

                    wizz,
The US is divided up into sortof independent states of which New York is one. New York City is a large city in the state of New York.
motub (I haven't figured it out),
Don't let him rag you about US addresses. I worked as a summercamp councilor in England in 1967 & 1968 at a place called Fonthill Abby Estate, Tisbury, Salisbury, Wilts (Hi everybody!)

wizz, I should probably just e-mail you and not clog up the thread but here we go quick and probably over simplified:

U.S.= United States, implying that it's divided into, um, states. And so it is.

New York State = one of the 50 states that comprise the United States of America.

New York City = a city within the state of New York State. The city is itself divided into 5 boroughs, which are: Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Staten Island. People living in boroughs other than Manhattan usually address their envelopes (which we address in the format city, state) as Brooklyn, NY rather than NY, NY, or worse yet, as say "Jamaica, NY", Jamaica being a neighborhood in the borough of Queens. I guess it is confusing.

Maybe we should run some map making software in dualhead--then you could see a detailed map of NYC on one screen, and the whole country on the other, and it would be clearer.

How's that for at least getting somewhere near back on topic

And chuck, that would make you very clever, then, except for that SBLive! thing

I really really want that 'Powered By Matrox' t-shirt the more I think about it!!!!

Cauldron I like yor idea for the Matrox clock but it has to be a a clock that has the date. The G400max clock!!!!
But the date has to be a few weeks late.
And you can get an addon card that makes it only a few days late.
And by christmas the drivers come in that make it exactly on time.
But the clock is only good to the end of the year and you have to buy a new G800max clock wich is due out 2nd quarter of 2000.

                              ------------------

                                Matrox Desk Calendar?
Matrox Diary (has all the dates for their new products...)
                                Matrox Keyboard and Mouse!
Why not a home-made Matrox PC??
Why don't matrox make Power Supplies? Then we can really be Powered by Matrox!
Matrox should make us all employees! I'll happily work under Haig, but not under MikeyA You'll never get me into marketing!
                                Any more ideas?
