System Pentium Celeron 400 mhz 66mhz bus
When i start the system in plain dos 6.22
from a floppy en after that i run G4set
it gives the valuas stated on this forum
sclk 252
G:d 1/2
G:f 126
M:d 2/3
M:f 168
W:d 1/2
W:f 126
So that is what it should be or not???
When i change the FSB from 66 to 75
Celeron on 450 mhz
same procedure
The G4set readings are
sclk 165.857
G:d 1/2
G:f 82
M:d 1/1
M:f 165
W:d 1/2
W:f 82
Twice the system is booting from a floppy
generated bij sys a:
copy G3set to a:
that's all
So no blame at the address of Pstrip.
After seen this weard fonomena
i cheanged the G400 bios back to 1.1 from the
Cd.
All the same.
When the FSB is set to 75 MHZ i can change
the setting back to what i see with 66 mzh
The card will stick to that even after rebooting 10 times or more.
Bottum line Whe have to Thank Matrox
for a self regluating bios.
Tho if you overclock the fsb above 66 mhz
read the values before changing the fsb.
After the change patch the bios with G4set
to the values with 66 mhz.
Succes Rob.
