Well, it's official. SCompRacer put his VooDoo II's up for auction at Ebay. Go see http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=144713276 and rejoice, or whatever it is you do when you get another convert.

I see, should have been more specific rather than a generalized, rhetorical statement.

        Allow me to rephrase.

"All Matrox in the area of 2D and 3D display cards, inside a metal case with other high quality, high cost items obtained from numerous, well known manufacturer's, assembled with the hope they all manage to cohabitate without border disputes or all out nuclear retaliation, like some of the exchanges between participants in this and other forums."

Thanks LAMFDTK. Used to be, but not anymore! Cars all gone, same with crew chief status and ambition. Just laurels to rest on!

Partially money, but mostly a switch got turned off one day, and I can't seem to turn it back on.

Now I am trying to apply same effort into these PC things, and the goin is slow. Need help. Getting old, hard to learn new things.

Take care, nice hearing from you!

Oh! NO! Chuck, not the OC word!

With the background I have in racing, including using thosands of pounds of Nitrous Oxide (in engines, not personal consumption), you would think I would jump at the chance of overclocking, but alas I fear for my CPU's internal circuitry and have wussed out so far.

Think of it this way: The processor has a natural governer. Once the speed gets too high (usualy determined by cache speed) the processor will hang befor it over heats. Of course, that word usualy can cost you money. (but at least you don't fly off the track and break you neck!)

I take it that's the reason for alot of people use celeron's to OC. Burn it up, just go get another?

Kind of like going out to an amusement park type anology? You spend x amount of $, get entertained and you leave till you go back again.

Oh yeah, I am waiting for a MAX too, through PC Connection. September, I was told.

Not realy, damaging the processor is preaty rare.

ps celerys do so well over clock because the cache is so fast!
