This was funny booted up 98 and no startup menu all the other icons present. Switched connector and got a start menu but no desktop
icons. If you start matrox powerdesk this of course starts on the other non exsistant monitor. So you have swap the leads over then disable the mulitmonitor.
One question is this the default setup with the Start Menu on one screen and desktop icons on the other or was the engineeer who set it up being a plonker with a sense of humour.
And why doesn't the powerdesk automatically detcet thats there one monitor attached and disable the multi monitor function.
