Reghack crashes, help me please

I need to know how can I turn vsinc off without the registry hack, because it crashes everytime I try ti run it.
I'm talking about what do I need to change manually in the win98 registry

Did you restart your computer after aplying the hack?

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Class\Display\0000\Settings\DirectX

And add a entry:

FlipOnVblank=0

But you have to restart the PC.
