  • Monitor settings page finally show up in PD 5.13

I had this annoying problem with PD 5.13 and G200 8 MB SD ... when i installed the new PD 5.13 drivers the monitor settings page didn't show up .. and i was stuck at 60 hz vertical refresh only .. i have a MAG DX1495 monitor ... 14" ... this problem happend in both win95b and win98 with a fresh install ..
Now i got a new monitor .. ACER 77c 17" .. the problem is solved and the monitor is working and the refrsh rate is working correctly too .. so any one who had this problem .. don't remember his name though .. you might try to change your monitor ...
So it seems to be some wrong pnp communication bet. the G200 and the MAG DX1495 and drivers ver. 5.13 .. and it only shows up in driver 5.13
i had other cards before the G200 .. and never had this problem ..
Hope that Matrox are listening and will fix this problem soon ..
i have a GigaByte mobo 6BXE and celeron 300A@450 .. and SB 16 PnP if this would help.
thanx for all of you who helped me anyway.
    Now i'm runnig at 1024x768x32 bit @ 75 Hz ... ( if i only know how to make quake2 run in 16 bit instead of 32 )

Now happy with the lovely Matrox quality and color.

The only way you will get Q2 to run in 16bit instead of 32bit is to change your desktop resolution to 16bit.

Okay, is it Matrox that is having problems with certain monitors, or do ALL cards have problems with certain monitors? I found the same thing... change the monitor, settings come back. And the monitor I used when the settings DIDN'T show up, doesn't even work with my G400! Craaaaaazy! I'm stuck using this cruddy monitor from work that's all dirty from work use.

This is a really strange problem.
