    I don't have any prob's with my Cheetah and WriteCache Enabled!!!

      I know you won't have problems with write back cache enabled on that Cheetah... but if you disable it they will slow down. N/C was default after I flashed my BIOS, I changed it to YES.

      Prior to the P2B-S series 1009 BIOS flash, which also updated the SCSI BIOS, that menu choice was not there. You had to use Adaptec EZ SCSI to turn that option on or off in a SCSI drive.

      Some hard drives for server use sold by manufacturers actually disable write back cache of the drive. I have bought drives like this for cheap and used EZ SCSI to enable it to speed em up.

      Keep that Cheetah cool. I got a couple of HDD Coolers by Just Cooler that attach to the drive itself. Don't take up alot of space and you do not need a 5.25 drive bay to stick a fan in front of it.
