Well, at least on the box (Mill G400 32 MB DH) it clearly says "Tranfer speed up to 532 MB/s". (Or something near that. I don't have the box here). This is AGP 2x, is it not?

So at least they got that rigth.

But note that it does not say 2X.. What does a common user know about transfer rates? AGP modes some can understand but rates!?!

Yes, but does the average user, the one who knows AGP multipliers but not transfer rates, also know that no game currently out uses those AGP transfer modes?

        Oh, well.

Now, what's interesting is that with all the companies out there (3dfx... cough cough) saying that AGP 2x isn't important, and can't work... go look at the Intel i740. No, it's not as fast as the current crop of chips, but it runs EXCLUSIVELY over AGP2x, and it runs REALLY WELL. Faster than Riva128 with much better image quality (image quality on par with today's chips).

Now, who wants to bet that Intel has another graphics chip up its sleeve for AGP 4x? Hmm? And then 3dfx will look stupid... AGAIN.

It wasn't always like this... I had a real life once. A signature, too. I used to be a guy named Gurm. But that's all gone now. Now, my name is Ash... and I am a slave.

Specs? You want specs? Yeah. Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up. See this? This is my boomstick! It's a twelve gauge double barreled Remington, S-Mart's top-of-the-line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop Smart. Shop S-mart. Ya got that?! Now I swear, the next one of you primates, even touches me...

Ant, as I said, matrox has changed the info on their homepage. the info about the MAX do 4x transfers etc. The link presented was to matrox users resource center and said it could do 4x transfers.

That could it be true thing... um I don't really know myself ¦ ) bad norwegian humor? I'll edit that post ASAP.

My name is Fish. F-I-S-H don't you ever make that mistake again, Ant. Or else I'll come after you...

          Cheers,
          Fish.
