  • MAX Order Status

Just got off the phone with Matrox. They said a card has been allocated to me and it should be shipped to me this week.

    Order# 130XX

I was calling to replace my order with regular G400. Guess I can wait for a few more days.

I ordered from PC Connection in July, am # 3x there.

At first they said mid-August, then on an order check call I was told first week of September, on todays call I was told that they would have them August 20th.

When asked if it was firm, I was told "our buyer updates this daily".

    Sure!

Honestly, it is getting tired to hear whining of late order, esecially anyone (other than those M.R.) is really appreciate of what they have been cheated by matrox repeatedly.

But it is even more tired to hear morons defending matrox on the ground that they have been screwed up again and again, go SM party. God damn MR children!

I understand frustration about this situation.

I've been trying to get hold of a G400 MAX for over a month. I couldn't pre-order from Matrox since they don't accept orders from Australia (This itself is unnacceptable in this day and age.) and most of the companies I found on the web that were advertising them either didn't have stock or wouldn't ship to Australia either.

Talking directly to Matrox's Australian distributor I find out that Matrox has been consistently stringing them along as well. The distributor had assured people MAX cards would be in Australia by the 15th of August, but Matrox has once again changed it's promise to them and is now claiming mid-september.

What annoys me is that Matrox have shipped _no_ MAX cards to Australia at all. I
could understand them rationing the numbers between different countries since they have not been able to keep up, but they have been treating us as second-rate and not giving us anything at all.

I do not appreciate this treatment whatsoever. Matrox owes Australian companies,
especially their own distributor, compensation for forcing Australian citizens
to look at importing in order to get hold of cards at all. They have damaged the
businesses of their partners through treating certain countries preferentially,
and have shown that they are still small-minded and have no place on the global
        stage.

Matrox is very immature for a supposedly international company.

I am forwarding this letter to Matrox as well.

Man, if you get your card this week, then I better be getting mine too because my order number is 122xx. Let's hope they ain't pullin your chain. If I really do get my card this week, then Matrox honored their 5-6 week time.

Really? That sounds great! Do they give you a tracking number? Funny, I didn't get a email yet. I really hope I am in this weeks batch too. If the 13xxx guy gets it, I'm gonna have to call Matrox up and see what's the problem.

Thunderfeet, Matrox has problems with the G400 MAX produtcion and many pre-orders have waited longer than the advertised 5-6 week peroid. No wonder they have not shipped anything to Australia yet, they are working hard to ship to their per-orders.

Matrox has changed their official G400 Max ship-to-retailers date many times, and will do so until all the pre-orders have gotten their card.

Instead of telling us a true shippment date, they are changing a "lie" over and over again. Until the "lie" become truth. This suck, but they are forced to do so.

                Cheers,
                Fish.
