    Hi Guyver,
Would a log-file work, as far as keeping track of previous settings and changes, and the date and time they were changed and changed-back. Good idea on the profile...that wouldn't be too difficult to implement.

      Hi,

If only Matrox could include that overcloking and features in their drivers like Diamond does... but Microsoft prevent everyone from doing that, else ... no certification... I heard that Diamond are going to modify their drivers becaise of that!

      Ciao

I think a log file would be very usefull, especially if you could interject comments or notes (possibly have it set to use notepad to bring it up so we could edit it, or use a special format to allow us to scroll/edit through the log).

        Thanks,

I think its been said previously at the beginning of the thread, but here goes:
Core Speed, Memory Speed, Divider Controls, Vsync Control were mentoined.
I also think controls for setting/checking agp speed (1x or 2x) would be useful.
I think the ideas from Guyver area also very good.
Yeah, and the ability to enable/disable the tweaks on windows startup is a must

Now, with profiles would you like several pre-sets for each resolution, or just one setting for each resolution? And what about having a user profile where you can set what features you want enabled for each resolution that the card gets switched to. Such as you have all features turned on for 800X600, while some features will be turned off in resolutions higher than 1024. Kind of like a mode switcher.

              Rags,

For the profile, I can see a couple of different options.

#1 - One profile per resolution with preferred settings. (Don't really like this one)

              #2 - Three profiles per resolution (2D, D3D, OpenGL)

#3 - Bank of profiles that you fill, res & color depths get assigned automatically when you fill the bank, but can be overridden. (I like this the best) User driven descriptions, storing settings and possibly driving the resolution changes if checked.

              That's my TCW.

Hehehe...when is the Beta? I don't even have an alpha, yet. This is something I am going to be toying with. If M releases a good tweak app. then it won't be real necessary, or I could improve upon it's features if need be. I am currently coding several other apps, so this may take some time. I have gotten some of the basics done, and am working on G200 support, and if my G400 ever comes in, I will be moving right along with it as well.
