Just a couple of thoughts...
Nothing, repeat NOTHING that Tom Pabst says can possibly be accepted as valid any more. It has been shown repeatedly that he favors whoever pays him the most.
Now, that having been said, I agree that Intel is a bully. And I also agree that for the first time ever, AMD has made a better chip. However, I don't give two cents about what Tom says, I want REAL people reviewing REAL motherboards. Tom said the SS7 boards were stable, too... and they're not.
If, come Christmastime, I see some nice, stable Athlon boards, and they have Win9x drivers that work properly, and the prices are still competitive, THEN and ONLY THEN will I consider an Athlon.
